We believe that learning never ends and often host clinics throughout the year. Most recently we had Ken Whelihan on site.
A former rider and trainer for Lionshare Farm and the Ox Ridge Hunt Club, Ken is the resident trainer for the Berkshire Equestrian Center. Everyone always appreciates his knowledge and input as a trainer, rider, and big “R” judge.
MA Licensed Riding Instructor/ Trainer Ken’s extensive knowledge (experience) judging, competing and teaching uniquely positions him at the forefront of the field. A Licensed Massachusetts Riding Instructor, a veteran grand prix competitor and trainer and a USEF judge of hunters and equitation for over 19 years, Ken qualified for and competed in the 1992 Olympic Selections trials for Barcelona at Gladstone and Devon.
During his illustrious career, he produced Zone 1 USEF two-time Horse-of-the-Year, “Tanglewood,” regular working hunters; rode Zone 2 USEF Horse of the Year, “Ramsey” regular conformation hunters; and rode and produced over a dozen jumpers to Grand Prix including Rashnu, Ballybay, Lucky Again, Ashe, Skip With Me, Tango, Ballybay Nightcap and others.
